Standard or MonoFit?

The first step of your installation will depend on your tap system. If you have a Standard tap system, begin with Section 1a. If you have a MonoFit tap system, proceed directly to Section 1b.

Standard T3 tap system

To start the installation of a standard T3 tap system, follow section 1a.

MonoFit T3 tap system

To start the installation of a MonoFit tap system, proceed directly to section 1b.

Section 1a - Installing a Standard countertop tap system

1

The following section applies to Standard tap installation only. If you are installing a MonoFit tap, skip to Section 1b.
This operation must only be carried out by trained staff.

2

Identify a suitable location for the tap. Ensure worktop is level to allow system to drain and that there are no obstructions below.

3

Ensure there is adequate cupboard space beneath the faucet location (500 × 500 mm) to install the ProCore unit. Allow clear access to service isolator fixings for both water and power, and leave sufficient space for the water filter, and CO₂ canister on sparkling models.

4

Also allow 400mm for the height of the tap under any overhanging cupboard/shelf.

5

Place a piece of masking tape onto the edge of the worktop and mark the centre of the drip tray.

6

Position the cutting template provided the desired distance away from the edge of the work surface, and secure in place. Make sure the centre lines up with your mark on the masking tape.

7

Drill the four corner holes of the drip tray with a 10mm drill bit.

8

Remove the template and clear any sawdust.

9

Using masking tape and a straight edge, mark out the guidelines between the four holes of the drip tray.

10

Using a jigsaw carefully cut out along the lines and remove the waste piece of work surface.

11

Clean any sawdust and make sure the surface is left clean and dry.

12

Join the faucet to the baseplate. Ensure the tap outlet is positioned centrally over the drip tray below.

13

Insert the tap so the fixing screws line up with the indentations. Tighten up the M4 hex screws with an Allen key until the tap is secure. Do not overtighten.

14

Position the drip tray squarely into the cutout, ensuring the front edge is parallel with the front of the work surface. Add additional sealant, if required, to ensure a watertight seal.

15

Using the 4 x M6 Allthreads provided, locate them into the base of the tap. Next connect the earth wire on one of the bars with the star washer beneath it (attach the other end to the lid SEM screw on the ProCore when installed). Then, tighten until secure using the flange nuts provided.

16

Fit the waste pipe and secure with the jubilee clip. Connect to the drain or Bluetooth alarmed waste kit ensuring there is a constant fall.

Section 1b - Installing a MonoFit tap system

1

The following section applies to MonoFit tap installation only. If you are installing a Standard tap, complete Section 1a and proceed to Section 2.

5

Position the cutting template the desired distance away from the edge of the work surface.

6

Place two pieces of masking tape either side of the bottom line (labelled 1B) on the cutting template. Using a straight edge, mark along line 1B continuing onto both pieces of masking tape.

7

8

Drill the access hole for the drip tray, using a 60mm circular drill bit.

9

Remove the cutting template, leaving the two pieces of masking tape either side of the drip tray. Clean away any sawdust.

10

Join the faucet to the baseplate. Ensure the tap outlet is positioned centrally over the drip tray below.

11

Insert the tap so the fixing screws line up with the indentations. Tighten up the M4 hex screws with an Allen key until the tap is secure. Do not overtighten.

12

Position the drip tray into the cutout, ensuring the front edge is parallel with the marked pieces of masking tape. Add additional sealant, if required, to ensure a watertight seal.

13

Using the 4 x M6 Allthreads provided, locate them into the base of the tap. Next connect the earth wire on one of the bars with the star washer beneath it (attach the other end to the lid SEM screw on the ProCore when installed). Then, tighten till secure using the flange nuts provided.

14

Fit the waste pipe and secure with the jubilee clip. Connect to the drain or Bluetooth alarmed waste kit ensuring there is a constant fall.

Section 2 - Installing the undercounter ProCore and Simple-Fit vent kit

Before making any cuts into the cupboard or kick board, ensure the area to be cut is free from water pipes or electrical cables. There is a risk of serious injury or death if electrical cables are cut, and significant damage to property if a water pipe is cut.

1

This operation must only be carried out by trained staff.

2

Decide where you would like to place the ProCore, in the centre or to one side of the cupboard. You will need enough space for a CO₂ cannister (sparkling models only) and water filter. Ensure a gap of at least 45mm either side of the ProCore®.

3

Using the cutting template provided, fold alongside the appropriate sideline and fold along the front edge and tape in place.

4

Take a ten millimetre wood drill bit and drill the two pilot holes marked on the template.

5

Remove the template.

6

Apply masking tape for protection and draw lines ready for cutting.

7

Use a jigsaw to carefully cut along the lines taking care not to damage the plinth.

8

Remove the masking tape and clear away the sawdust.

9

Place the Simple-fit ventilation base in place centrally over the aperture. Ensuring that there is a minimum of 30mm air gap to each side.

10

Line up the vent flue chimney with the backplate. Then place over the slots and slide downwards into place.

11

Lift, tilt and line up the ProCore into position over the ventilation base ready to lower.

12

Lower the ProCore® carefully into position on the ventilation base to ensure the rear vent duct is located correctly in the chimney aperture at the rear of the base.

13

Ensure the vents are not obstructed. Any obstructions will adversely affect the airflow to the appliance causing potential for poor performance, over heating or fridge failure.

Section 3 - Connecting the tap to the ProCore and commissioning the unit

Install the water block. Failing to do so will invalidate the warranty for that unit.

2

Install the dual inlet installation kit into the cupboard. Leave room for the filters to be changes when required.

3

Connect the filters to the mains water supply with the included T-piece. Use locking clips on each connection for security.

4

Using the measuring jug, turn on the water supply and flush the filters to waste until it runs clear.

5

Using the 3/4 inch BSP fittings, connect the filters to the unit. Connect the large filter to the hot inlet and the smaller filter to the cold inlet.

6

Using the blue chilled water pipe, slide on the provided black insulation and connect to the chilled water outlet. Then connect the clear silicon pipe to the hot water outlet.
NOTE: To improve sparkling anti-drip & hot draw back cut pipes to shortest length possible, but ensuring they are not taught.

7

Take the USB connection from the underside of the tap and connect to the USB port in the back of the undercounter ProCore® unit.

8

If you have a sparkling model, connect the CO2 supply from the gas regulator and follow the CO2 installation section below.

9

Connect the unit to the electricity supply and switch on. On power up the unit will go into commissioning mode.

10

Sparkling models should have the carbonator purged of air by activating the sparkling water dispense for approximately 10 seconds.

11

Turn on the water supply.

12

Press the ‘Unlock’ icon then hold the ‘Hot’ icon to start filling the hot tank. This will time out after 30s. To continue filling the tank, repeat this as many times as is required until water flows from the tap outlet.

Care and maintenance of tap finish

The finishes are typically low-maintenance and retain their look with minimal effort. However regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure longevity and aesthetic appearance.

The appliance must have the lens cleaned every 2 weeks minimum using screen cleaner – ensure unit is off during cleaning.

For best results polish the dispenser with a soft cloth as necessary, as soon as signs of dirt or smudging appear. Weekly cleaning with damp cloth using mild soap and water is recommended to maintain shine and remove fingerprints. Dry and polish with a soft cloth.

WARNING: Improper use of cleaners and sterilizers or exposure to strong chemicals can cause corrosion, staining and discolouration. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaning agents that can damage the finish.

Please note that surface contamination and the surrounding environment can accelerate staining and discolouration e.g. marine environments where salt is present or places with high humidity.

Advanced setup

Emptying sparkling water

1

Turn off the water supply.

2

Press and hold the Sparkling water dispense button until all the water is expelled and only CO2 gas is being released.

3

The tank is empty of sparkling water when only CO2 is being released and no water is emitted.

4

Ensure to release the Sparkling water button and take care to avoid releasing excess amounts of CO2 gas as this may damage the tank.

Draining the hot tank

If you are decommissioning a unit, or descaling the hot tank you must first drain the hot tank.
To do so proceed with the following steps:

1

Ensure the unit is put back into commissioning mode before proceeding. Start by turning the unit off and on again.

2

Then hold the lock icon for 20 seconds.

3

Remove the 2 screws holding the top panel down and slide the panel off.

4

Remove the 2 screws holding the front panel in place and lift off and set aside.

5

Locate the drain pipe just behind the inlet expansion tank towards the front of the unit.

6

Have a jug ready. Pull the bung out of the pipe and drain the water into a jug.

7

Once the tank is fully drained, ensure the bung is fully pushed back in.

8

Turn the unit off and on. Hold the lock icon for 20 seconds. The unit is now out of commissioning mode.

9

Place the front and top panel back on to the unit by sliding them into place and replacing the screws.

Adjusting sparkling water flow rate

NOTE: Sparkling water flow rate factory setting = 1.8L (0.4 Gal) per minute MAX. This may need adjusting depending on inlet pressure. To do so follow below steps:

1

Remove the 2 screws holding the top panel down and slide it off.

2

Locate the flow control adjuster, this can be found towards the front of the unit.

3

Flow can then be adjusted as follows: turning the cap anti-clockwise to increase flow and clockwise to restrict flow. After each adjustment the flow rate should be timed to an acceptable flow rate and/or uninterrupted sparkling dispense.

4

Once the correct flow rate is achieved place the top panel back on to the unit by sliding it in place and replacing the screws.
