We’ve secured the mandatory WaterMark certification to operate in Australia. With this key milestone met, we’re now able to pursue growth throughout Australia. We’re delighted to be working with a like-minded coffee and water business to meet demand for premium POU in Australia. This is an interesting opportunity, and we’re well-placed to meet customer needs now and in the future with our expanding product range.

Motorists who are dehydrated make more mistakes

It’s fairly well-known that even mild dehydration can have negative effects on our ability to concentrate at work. Perhaps less well-known is that being dehydrated when driving has the same effects on the body as drink-driving. We recently came across a surprising study from 2015 on the effects of dehydration on drivers. Conducted by Loughborough University, the research suggests that having as few as five sips of water an hour while driving is equivalent to being over the drink drive limit.

EU to raise drinking water standards

Earlier this month, EU member states endorsed a provisional agreement that will improve the quality of drinking water. This is good news for people living within the EU. Under the new rules: Drinking water quality standards will be updated. A cost-effective risk-based approach to the monitoring of water quality will be introduced. Minimum hygienic requirements for materials in contact with drinking water (e.g. pipes) will be set out.

Distributor stories: Facilities upgrade for BMW by Tayto

The refreshment facilities in BMW’s Oxford Mini plant were old and needed full refurbishment. They asked Tayto to upgrade their vending services, including water provision. Tayto is part of one of the largest groups of vending machine companies in the UK and the largest British-owned crisp and snack manufacturer. Neil Lowe, Vending Service Manager at Tayto, led the project. He wanted to partner with a water dispensing manufacturer who could provide high-quality appliances and excellent customer service.
