Fynil® technology defends against surface bacteria
Bacteria can harbour within cracked crevices and seams on the surface of appliances. This is why we apply a carefully crafted Fynil® finish to all our water dispensers.
Fynil® is designed to withstand busy and hard-working environments. It is extremely durable and non-porous, making it scratch, tarnish and impact resistant for easy-cleaning, reduced limescale build up and longevity.
This approach enables us to offer watercooler surfaces that are resistant to moisture, chemicals, limescale cohesion, and biofilm development.
What is Fynil®
Hygienic material selection: Borg & Overström’s Fynil® uses hygienic materials such as stainless steel and anti-microbial additives to reduce the risk of bacterial build-up. Fynil® technology for drinking water dispensers is resistant to limescale build-up and biofilm formation due to its non-porous nature, making it easy to sanitise effectively. For example, the T2 sparkling water tap is built from hygienic non-porous stainless steel.
Easy to clean, smooth profiles: Borg & Overström dispensers and taps are designed with easy-to-clean surfaces. The smooth profiles are shaped with minimal casing seams and utilise non-porous materials to minimise crevices where bacteria can harbour. Each product is thoughtfully crafted to be both beautiful and easy to maintain. The T3 hot water tap, is designed with a smooth neck and with minimal seams for easy cleaning.
Silver ion anti-microbial technology: All touch panels of Borg & Overström dispensers utilise silver ion antimicrobial technology, helping to guard against bacterial transfer and resist biofilm development. The E6 countertop water dispenser also has antimicrobial protection in its front facia for increased hygiene protection over a large surface area.
Designed for durability: Borg & Overström dispensers are designed to ensure they are able to withstand busy workplaces. We select scratch, tarnish and impact resistant materials for durability and to mitigate risk of bacteria building up in a chipped or scratched surface. To achieve a durable black finish we utilise PVD (Physical Vapour Desposition) technology which chemically alters the surface to give a black colour which is scratch, chip and tarnish resistant.
