What is Fynil®?

Finyl® is our approach to creating hygienic surfaces, designed for hardworking environments by combining premium material with specialist hygiene technology. Fynil® finishes are extremely durable and non-porus, ensuring the surface is scratch, tarnish and impact resistant, keeping your dispenser both beautiful and hygienic, even in busy communal environments.

What is Fynil®?
  • Easy to clean, smooth profiles
    Borg & Overström dispensers and taps feature easy-to-clean surfaces with smooth profiles, minimal casing seams, and non-porous materials that reduce crevices where bacteria can grow.
  • Silver ion anti-microbial technology
    All touch panels of Borg & Overström dispensers utilise silver ion antimicrobial technology, helping to guard against bacterial transfer and resist biofilm development.
  • Designed for durability
    We select scratch, tarnish and impact resistant materials for durability and to mitigate risk of bacteria building up in a chipped or scratched surface.

What does Fynil® do?

By combining material properties, design and antimicrobial technology, Finyl® gives your peace of mind when it comes to hygiene in high-touch areas. The hard-wearing surfaces reduce the transfer of germs and resist limescale build-up and bio-film development thanks to their non-porus nature and anti-microbial properties.

How does Fynil® work?

By utilising smooth profiles, reducing casing seams and resting chips and cracks, Finyl® minimises crevices where bacteria can harbour and ensure surfaces as easy to clean. Antimicrobial silver ion technology is used on control panels and dispenser casings to resist biofilm development in key areas, whilst outlets utilise hygienic stainless steel to minimise bacterial transfer.

Antimicrobial silver ion technology

Silver ion is a biologically active, positively charged form of silver integrated into a product's surface, which is highly effective at disrupting the life processes of harmful microorganisms. This long-lasting protection is widely used on common touch points to kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses.

Hygienic stainless steel shroud

As a non-porous surface, stainless steel has no open spaces, meaning bacteria, viruses, and fungi cannot get trapped in cracks or crevices. Our shrouds smooth, hard surface is easy to clean and sanitize effectively, ideal for high-hygiene environments.

Durable PVD finish

Our beautiful matt black tap finish uses PVD (Physical Vapour Desposition) technology to chemically alters the surface. This results in an extremely durable and non-porus black colour which is scratch, chip and tarnish resistant, for easy-cleaning, reduced limescale-buildup and longevity.
